Hi, new member here to learn about upgrading ECU and possibly next turbo
Hello everyone,
New guy here. Hopefully, I can learn about upgrading my ECU and then possibly a turbo. I have
a nice 1999 AE with 75000. Stock engine although I have made a couple mods. I put in an adjustable advance wheel
on the crank pulley and made a sealed cold air intake along with changing the cast iron exhaust manifold to
a 2001 tube type. I also put in derlin door bushings and put in a MazdaRoadster short shifter. I've upgraded the ignition wires and plugs. It runs very well
and is a blast to drive. I've autoX novice school once and plan on learning to get the most out of the car before moving
on to more power.
The ability to tweak just about everything on the engine intrigues me. I'd like to learn how to tune before possibly getting
a turbo in the future.
I'd also like to get a hold of a 99 head and intake and try my hand at a port and polish job. Yes I know it is time-consuming,
but I've had some experience on my other cars and they've turned out well. (drag racing). I love to tinker, and love DIY mods.
I hope to learn alot and post some questions.
