Default hi from Poland

It's time to start beeing active here. I didn't want my first post to be "Houston, we have a problem". so... hi everybody!

I'm Janusz I'm from Poland (somewhere between Germany and Russia an I have a 1995 black turbomiata - it's my third miata/mx-5. I also had a classic red 1991 1,6l mx-5 and the same from 1993 only for 2 months time (needed a holiday car for last year season due to a melted piston in my turbomiata)

My turbomiata:
has been imported from US to Europe in 1995 by a german tunning company HGP-turbo, they've rebuilt the car: turbo, exhaust, suspension, even audio system (10 speakers!!) 240 HP (not WHP...) I think it was their show-car. Then it went to private hands in Germany and then had next 2 owners in Poland, and finally I've bought it last year. I've melted one piston due to a injector failure during some track day and made an engine rebuilt.

The engine is based on flyinmiata parts: wiseco pistons, carillo rods, FM oversize valves, FM spring upgrade, etc - it runs perfectly!
My turbo is Garrett t25, RC 440 injectors, Megasquirt pnp, AFR: Innovate Lc-1, SPA-design dual EGT/boost.

main things still things to do:
suspension
tunning my megasquirt

I think that's enough to start asking questions here

It's nice to see that so many of You have Polish relatives!

Artie,
I'm dreaming of an FM suspension, but I don't think You would get one for me The problem is also $/Zloty rate that went 60% up in last six months!!! Luckily I made some FM shopping last year. If I need any small parts I will PM You If You need any help in Warsaw, I just let me know.

Welcome. I have distant relatives in Poland as well.

I would like to come over sometime and visit the old Country and Germany. Are there tracks in Poland? How are the roads and hunting?

Well she isn't polish, but she goes to Uniwersytet Jagielloński. I'll be spending a good deal of time in CZ and Poland this summer for a program on Crimes Against Humanity. Touring all your sweet death camps.

in general roads in Poland are bad, there are very few higways, and rough surfaces even in Warsaw - It's not difficult to find such pictures even in Warsaw http://farm1.static.flickr.com/35/12...ad0d51fc9a.jpg but it's getting better, we have lot's of money from EU for infrastructure development

I think we have just one real professional track in Poland and few smaller amatour tracks, but there are some trackdays organised also on some unused airports with nice tarmac, so If You wan't to be a race driver for a weekend - it's not a problem

i wouldn't have posted if i weren't required to have a certain amount of posts to post in certain areas. i don't care about post counts and i don't like post whoring.
