I have 1990 Miata with 94 1.8L in it with bistein shocks 2.5 inch exhaust with custom header and half roll bar with roto 8 rims just wanted to say hi

I have a question I need answered is it normal for a 1.8l with 5 speed to grind when going into first over 20 mph

Not sure. I can say that it's not normal to shift into 1st gear when going over 20mph, though.
