Looks like you've got a pretty solid plan started as far as the turbo goes and you've obviously done some research on that front so props for that. You are also absolutely correct that a lot of low-end coilovers are all the same, just rebranded, so I've got no idea why everyone is so upset about that comment.

There's a lot of good information on the site, hope you'll hang around and let us know how the car progresses.
Thanks, man, I appreciate that a lot. I knew people were gonna rip on the coilovers, I just wasn't aware i was saying anything "stupid retarted" or "100% ****". Perhaps it was the track days comment. I regretted saying that immediately after I realized I said it on a Miata forum.

You're on the right track here... I've highlighted problem areas.

These coilovers are great for the price payed. My last Miata had Megan coilovers and handled like it was on rails and then some, this Miata handles like its on rails with just a tad more body roll than I'd like when a passenger is in the car, but it rides like stock so I'm not too worried, a set of FM sway bars will fix that. I know several people that go to track days with Megan's and F&F's with no complaints. This car will go around a corner faster than anyone in front of me behind me or beside me is anywhere close to comfortable going so I'm content with them. Or were you wanting to talk about something else about my suspension? Lol
These coilovers are **** for the price paid. See my comment later on about $300 Racelands. People who track on Megans and F&Fs and don't complain have no clue what they're doing. If you haven't experienced good suspension, you won't know how bad the cheap suspension is. Also: The term "handles like it's on rails" is the same term that clueless "car guys" use to describe their Buick LeSabre with the handling package. It's a bullshit term that means nothing. Every Miata handles like it's on rails compared to the boats that roam American roads.

I bought these coilovers for the simple fact they're cheap and available. I wanted a nice Miata for the summer so I threw these parts on and I have a nice Miata for the summer. I drove the car 7,000 miles last month and have no complaints whatsoever, I appreciate the warm welcome, though.
People will also call you dumb for doing a bandaid solution when you have the full intent to do it properly later on. These suckers are almost $700 on eBay. You could have accomplished the same thing with $300 Racelands. Still a bad idea, but at least it's a less-expensive bad idea.

It really comes down to this statement/sentiment, though. This is pure 100% butthurt noob, and we LOVE it. We could sense that you harbored this sentiment from the beginning, and it turned us on.

Yes, I can speak for the rest of us.

I like that last part, that's why I said it. I simply wanted adjustable ride height. Like I said before, I would've left it stock if I wanted a great handling car.

I was impatient and was to go to a car meet in OCMD in a few days so I admit I took a cheap short cut. Relative to proper coilovers, these are junk. I think on the street, they're not bad. My S13 had Cusco Zero-2R's, so I realize the VAST difference. I think, for the most part, I've been trying to rationalize my purchase.

After 10,000 total miles, I honestly can say they do what I need them to do for now.

Also, I'm not a forum guy. That's probably apparent. But, I have some big plans for this car and want to document a build for once.

I'm more butthurt over the fact that I'm THAT guy. I told myself I wasn't going to be that guy.

We used to have a "be nice to the noobs in their intro thread and then later rip on them in the next dumb thread they start" rule on this site, but it is no longer enforced apparently. Maybe it never was...

But i digress.

Welcome to the site, stick around, build your car, do good work, document and learn from your failures and or achievements. Listen to the people on this site, we've been there / done it. You can learn from us and reading the content posted on this site. If you need an answer or advice 99% of the time it's already been talked about.
Just to make it clear, this is more of a performance orientated forum. Even if some of us (myself included) have no intentions of competing with our cars.

I don't say stupid retarded **** about them though, so YMMV. We don't like bullshit here, this a good forum.

I feel like I just had the **** beat out of me for a gang initiation. Glad to be here! I'll definitely be sticking around. At least you guys are busting my ***** for the sake of a great handling car. Most people around my neck of the woods only like going in straight lines.
