Okay so obviously Megasquirt is seemingly the way to go these days, are most of the bugs worked out with them now? I think the first MSPNP's were just coming out when I was last looking. Is there a good database of base maps available now to keep the fiddling to a minimum?

My last Miata was running a Begi RRFPR, Emanage Blue, and an autotune unit from Olderguy. :laugh:

You want a MS3, not anything older, as none of the rest can control VVT. All 3 makers that we buy from will give you a good base map to start from. I am biased to ones from Braineack, but thats because he is my bff.

I'm not sure that's entirely true. It seems to me you should be able to remove the wastegate can and use a piece of allthread with a lot of lock nuts to fix the gate open as wide as possible safely. Might need a little bracket at the wastegate can plate, but might just need fender washers, too...

Technically you might be correct, after seeing one guy ruin his compressor wheel, I won't be the one to try to ever test it. Not worth $1200 to me to find out.

Yup. IIRC Nick (choojoofoo) did this to good effect. Take the WG bracket off, use fender washers and four nylock nuts.
