Default I'm new to this forum

Hey I'm doing this for him and I was wondering where all I should start I don't want to break any rules by accident. And I might just be dumb but I can't find a little rules section.thank you

And also I want to know where I can go for asking questions on where to start with picking the right Miata and modding it cuz I am completely new with everything here.

Default Was that a Test Post?

Welcome.

At the top of this Meet and Greet Sub-Forum are (2) stickies. Read the one from SamNavy "NOOBS Read this First STICKY". It will give you the guidance you seek.

(The other one you should read for humor... if you can't figure out that it is satire, this might not be the forum for you.)

EDIT: Was I just trolled?

No you weren't trolled lol
:Edit: and yes megamind I see that the other one was satire but I really don't know where to start when it comes to buying a good Miata (for a good price) and modding it.

Welcome.

If you are looking to get into your first Miata, you're probably better off looking at your local classifieds and Miata facebook groups unless you are looking for an already built sorted car. There are a couple here for sale in the 8-12k range. That is pretty much in line with what you are going to spend getting any 20-30 year old car running and driving reliably. Right now the prices for good cars (especially NA's or the first generation with pop ups) are on the rise. You will be lucky to find a car in decent shape for under 5k depending on where you live. There are always deals to be had, but when they come up they go fast. Miatas are quickly growing out of the cheap fun dime a dozen car that they were earlier in the decade. I'm not trying to turn you off of buying one, just trying to level your expectations.

Good luck in your hunt. If you do end up getting one the knowledge here will help you make it faster for sure.

Thanks my guy. In that case I'll have to save up a lot more because I looked up how much one's worth and I saved up for that and I was hoping I can haggle for that price. but if people are staying strong with around $8,000 then it'll be a little while.

And I already have a v6 2000 convertible mustang that I use as my daily driver but I'm on a mission with getting a Miata. So there's this guy in his 40s who is like really rich and has multiple Ferraris and a McLaren. And is like a huge dick head to his family. And I have a crush on his daughter but he's not letting us see each other at all. Sooooo I was hoping to eventually bring him down a couple pegs by winning a race against this *****. This is the kind of guy that would spend big money on an automatic sports car and think he's hot **** because of it.
so it's kind of like the plot to Friday night funkin but with cars.
