Default IM A NOOB!!

Hello everyone my name is Bradley. About 4 months ago I traded my 1990 240sx to get a Miata. This is my first one and so far I love it. I do not have anything special on my car as yet. I have plans to add a turbo in the future But I am exploring my options. Which is why i am joining this Forum to learn and be taught by the best.

Gotta be honest, this makes me leery. Drift is a bad word around here.

Pics? Goals? Cats?

Here are some pictures of my car. Its not much but I think it looks alright. I am open to any suggestions or ideas for the car. I traded my wheels last night. Tell me what you think.

Once you fix a couple broken things, it has potential. Welcome to MT.net

You want suggestions?

Raise it to a reasonable ride height, put some turn signals on before you cause an accident, and fix your broken headlights.

#YOLOSWAG gets zero love here.

I guess we should have seen this coming.

It's a good looking car, but why so low? Why flares and not-wide tires? Why RICE?

Is that a style bar under the hardtop? Those things are pretty dangerous.

Clean car. Looks to me like you have a lot of parts that you can sell/trade to your 240 homies to fund a decent build. You would not believe how good these cars can be with a good setup.

Someone actually spent good time and money to make the headlights not go down properly and not have functioning turn signals? What's next: intentionally making the suspension ride and handle worse? Oh, wait...

I fear that the cancer is spreading from 240s to Miatas.

Lol, I think he's heading towards making a good handling track day car out of it. Patience. He's bought it with a few issues to fix but he'll be quick soon enough.

It does have lots of potential, and assuming the OP is after actual improvement of the car and not swagstance, he'll be fine. It wouldn't take much it seems to make it a real nice car. The flares look to be well done, and it's not sticker bombed so there is hope.

The ill-fitting wheel/tire combo and ridiculous ride height have me worried that this will turn out to be another CR thesameeverybodyelse build.

Op, what are your actual plans for the car?

How do you signal that you're going to turn?
