Drinking and posting, not as bad as calling your ex-girlfriend after a hard toot, but....

I know I have done both a time or two.

Welcome to both of you. I'm looking forward to video of the first startup and road test with positive manifold pressure.

Thanks for taking the ribbing and not getting uptight about it. That is one of the most important aspects of evaluating noobs here. Please post pics of previous projects and mechanical accomplishments in this meet and greet thread.

Pinky- One of life lessons learned is that you ain't learning a damn thing when you're talking. That's what listening is for and explains my scanty 10 posts. We like cats here- four of them went to bed with me last night. And what the hell is a brony? Jon

With the passing of time, you will grow to wish you had never had a reason to ask that last question.

We make fun of the "hairdresser's car" persona of the Miata. Many of us have been called "gay" for driving one by mouth-breathers in "macho" cars and trucks. So we make a big deal about us all supposedly "being gay", liking cats, and most recently an animated program for little girls called "My Little Pony". If a guy, a "bro", likes My Little Pony, then he is considered a brony. That last part hasn't exactly caught on with me, but some of the guys keep pushing it like ma's leftover meatloaf from the fridge. So if you see any gay references or colorful animated horses on this forum something is being done in jest.

My little brony is something Joe has brought to this forum, and is singlehandedly the gayest thing I have ever seen in my life.

So naturally, it belongs on a miata forum.

Being the obviously manly man that I am, I can't recall any gay references sent my way. But I have heard a few remarks about Miatas being "girl's cars". I just offer them a ride and tell them I'm going to see how long it takes me to make them scream like a little girl. I know one guy who absolutely WILL NOT get into my Miata. Again, that is. I should probably tell you that I was once an amateur national motorcycle road race champion and did well in flat track.

Well fellas, it's been awhile. The car is running and I drove it to my new tuner. This tuner and I have discussed everything done with the car. I received a call back a few days later with positive feedback. He says the work done here is top notch.
