Default MT newb, ruining a mazdaspeed

Hello!

I've lurked this forum for a long time and decided to go ahead and make my own account finally. I've owned my MSM since early 2015 and have put a solid 60,000 street miles on it in that time. For the first 2 years it was my daily driver, and as I drove and got the track itch, I bought another DD to turn the speed into a full time track car.

As it sits it's fairly stock drivetrain wise, mild bolt ons with the factory turbo and garbage ecu, I'd estimate it around 180 whp but haven't taken it to a local dyno to check. I have Xidas waiting in the wings to install, and need to order a bushing kit as well, otherwise it's got a 1.25" tubular RB front bar with the bracket blocks, 15x10's with 245 rs4's, aluminum radiator, rollbar, etc etc. It served me well as a Tail of the Dragon commuter during my time employed on the mountain. Currently working on an aero package purely for the enjoyment of the fabrication, aside from a 9LR wing which I have yet to order from Johnny.

My plan is to slot the car into the time attack world and run NASA TT as well, still doing research on where the car will slot into NASA but I have a good idea of where I want it to be in the GTA/Gridlife classing rules.

I'm at a crossroads for how I want to continue the powertrain upgrades currently, my plan was to continue to use the stock turbo while I hoarded k swap parts and make the switch when I had most everything ready. But the stock turbo is showing its age and to keep the car on the road in the mean time, I'm now debating ordering a trackspeed EFR kit and going down that path for my 330 whp goal.

Photo is as the car sits now, minus the hardtop. I've got more photos elsewhere but I'll save those for my build thread.

I don't have any cats, but I do have a very energetic German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix pup named Turbo.

There's several in the Knoxville area that go to the track frequently, we've got a pretty tight knit group locally.
