What are your plans for that? I would add a Boundary Engineering oil pump, a cheap set of forged rods and pistons, and wreak havoc. How strong are the transmissions in those cars?

Hi thanks for the welcomes. Plans are rebuilt engine (with a Boundary Oil Pump) and these are the parts I have received up to now.(Photo's below). I am also having (the glass gearbox ) rebuilt i know these can be weak but people tend to upgrade power and engines without touching the gearbox and launch them at full rev's which then breaks them. If rebuilt and looked after better i will be in with a chance of it not breaking as i am only looking for about 280BHP and will not be doing full on launch starts. I am also respraying it white with San Remo graphics and one day looking to maybe do the Celica GT4 gearbox conversion and then going for serious power.

Is that a 1.8? That's clean dude! We never got that generation in the states.

Yes it is a 1.8 BP D similar block to MX5 and a different head set up. They built 2200 for rally homologation in 1989-1993 so they are getting quite rare. They are 4 wheel drive 1.8 DOHC Turbo.

Yes it's a 1.8. This is Mazda's uber-car. Very nice!

We were busy building ourselves F-body Camaros and TransAms while the rest of the world got marketed all-wheel-drive turbocharged glory.

Sexy. I would still sell a kidney for a pulsar gti-r, but I could go for one of these.

Costing me lots of pounds(or Dollars) to revive this car but absolutely love it very rare now in England so have to get her back on the road again. Hate to see classics being broke for spares I must be.
