I’d like to pull the motor and start building the bottom end. I Want to up the boost with confidence 😁

 

That looks good and clean. Don't worry about building the 1.6. Find a 1.8 and build it on a stand and swap it in when finished to minimize downtime. The 1.6 has very small ports, no variable TPS, weaker coils, and several more drawbacks to overcome.

 

Nice looking car man! Agreed on finding a 1.8. I've done a lot of reading this year and for a small amount of money it's a much better platform to start with. All the best with it!
