Default New to the forum and to miatas

Figured I'd drop in and say hello. I just purchased my first miata a few days ago, and I may have bitten off more than I can chew.

Its a 99 anniversary model with a hardtop, FMII gt2560 turbo kit, full 3 inch turbo back exhaust and MS3 standalone. It has the coolant reroute kit and the upgraded radiator and fans and a stage 2 FM clutch. Dyno from previous owner shows it making about 215 whp and 200 wtq. Most of the stock parts were included with the vehicle as well.

I picked it up for $8500, without even realizing the vehicle would not be able to pass emissions, which is a serious problem for me since I live in an emissions county. I didnt do my research and forgot to ask, I assumed it would be emissions compliant since it was in an emissions area

After I put it in the air I noticed it has some rust holes towards the front of the frame that will need patched, and it has a small coolant leak at the turbo.

It is also setting in that my knowledge of turbos and tuning is virtually non existant.

So now I have a dilema on my hands. The way I see it, I have 3 options here:
1) Put the vehicle back to stock to pass emissions - lots of hassle and probably not possible with my knowledge/skills.
2) Sell or trade the car for one that is emissions compliant - least work, most time probably.
3) Try and register the car somewhere else - fair bit of hassle and probably illegal.

So I am feeling mighty foolish at the moment and would appreciate it greatly if anyone could give me some suggestions. Located in Phoenix, AZ.

What kind of emissions test? Visual (can pass if the inspector is an idiot and/or really cool)? Sniffer (can pass this with a good tune)? OBDII (you are screwed)?
