Default New guy from California

Hello gents,

My name is Ariel and I'm located in San Francisco, CA. I've been involved into building cars for the past few years (mainly personal projects); my favorite from all times a supercharged Nissan 350z and a Time Attack Mitsubishi Evolution. I currently drive a c300 as a daily and a mazdaspeed miata.

I'm hoping to get an AEM ECU to work with the car and mainly work on suspension mods.

Thanks,
-Ariel

Welcome.

What we like here: good solid intro's with lots of pictures instead of some pathetic 1 liner

What we hate: n00bs who spam up our forum with stupid pointless posts just to get their count up and sell/buy something

we usually make sure the latter gets banned on the very 1st day

Welcome to the forum. If you are planning to do suspension, Xidas are king of the track.

No doubt AST/Xida's are the bomb. I'll look into Penske's and JRZ's as well. There are amazing solutions at that price range.

Where are you located? I'm hoping to get involved with the local community whenever time allows.

I'm in Monterey County, but there is a somewhat active local forum I usually point people at for enthusiast meetups: norcalroadsters.com. They used to do monthly meetups and cruises but I've not been up there in forever. Good people on that forum, but no where near the tech knowledge you will get here on MiataTurbo

If you stick around here long enough you'll learn that I don't have a problem with cheap cars from auction
