New guy from central illinois
Hello All,
My name is Nick. I'm a 31 year old financial analyst from Decatur, IL which is a small town in central Illinois. I picked up my 95 Montego Blue Miata last fall from a local car club listing. The car sat for the winter and I got to drive it a few times this spring before we started working on it last weekend. I admittedly don't know much about miatas but I've got a good friend here that has built a few. The body is beat up pretty good so I got a good deal on it. It came with aftermarket wheels, Tein Basic coil overs, aftermarket hard top, newer soft top. So far we've just done some general maintenance and tune up. About a week into ownership I found out that the driver side front caliper was locked up so I got a used set of calipers and replaced both of the front calipers and pads. This past weekend we removed the power steering, AC and cruise control to make room for the custom turbo kit. I've been spending time in the marketplace here trying to acquisition parts. I'm hoping we will have the turbo done and the car back on the road by the end of April. I've also got an ACE HD Roll Bar with SFI padding and cover that I'm putting on this week. Plans for this car is a spirited weekend driver. Here's a pic of the car:
