New guy from Detroit area that hates NOOB posts
That said, obviously its the way you guys operate, so I'll oblige...
Anyway, I just wound up with a '90 Miata with some suspension mods (Konis, unknown springs, and a BossFrog double hoop are the ones I know about anyway) from a deal selling my E46 M3 to a friend. My current day job is at a well known turbocharger manufacturer, so I figure I eventually need to get this thing running some boost. The powertrain is painfully stock, down to the air filter.
A little about me, I'm 35, married, first kid is on the way. I'm a mechanical engineer, and I've worked with cars pretty much my whole life. I have over a decade working in the auto industry designing OEM parts/systems both chassis and powertrain stuff, and I also have quite a bit of experience working on a professional road race team as well. I'm also no stranger to demanding car forums, where stupidity/arrogance/insolence and above all, bad tech, isn't tolerated, lol.
Basically I'm here to learn what I can that is specific to the Miata, and offer up any of my knowledge and experience I can share when it is relevant. I'm hoping that as time and budget allow, I can give my new little toy a little more hp to match the chassis a little better.

Private school?
Actually, yes. But I got in trouble there for improper sentance structure as well. It's good to see some things never change.
Fwiw, in Detroit public schools, I think they are ecstatic if the students just show up. They have taken to handing out cash to students on the day the count is taken to determine state funding...

The irony is, most of the other forums I'm on are chassis-centric, so I find myself quoting Milliken and Milliken more often than Heywood...
I do find myself quoting Mr. Bell quite a bit when explaining turbocharger basics to people though, lol.
