New guy here, not sure what to do with my hands
I bought my 91 miata almost a year ago and have been having a blast with it since day one (actually had no intentions of buying it until i test drove it.) I'm looking to make it faster and eventually it will see track time but I am mechanically illiterate. my car is pretty stock, no under the hood pics yet but i know its pretty much stock. Now I'll list the mods that I do know about. (previous owner)
-Jackson racing intake
-koni/ground control damper/coilover sleeve with eibach springs(no idea what rates)
-RB front sway bar, no idea about rear but i know it has one back there
-Has a roll bar I'm not sure which one but you guys will probably know
I could be forgetting something but that's all i can think of. I've wanted a track car since I was a little kid but due to some family issues I didn't even get my drivers license until I was 21. I'm sure I'll get made fun of for this but the inspiration for my interest in racing came from video games, my parents didn't allow violent games so i played racing games constantly growing up. Then Forza 4 came out and I made my first na on there and decided i needed to give it a chance when i finally bought my first car and boom, I've become obsessed and couldn't even think of driving something else.

sent a friend request, I'm actually a forza nerd. by that i mean i tune leaderboard cars (typically top 5) I noticed your account is silver at the moment. i may have to send a few of my miata tunes that i actually held a bunch of #1 times with at one point
thanks for the warm welcome guys, if anyone else who reads this plays forza 4 you are all welcome to add me. I don't play it as often as i used to but it would be cool to have race and talk to people who are more knowledgable about miatas than i am.
enough fake car stuff, back to the topic of my miata. my plan is to turbo and to do that I'm going to be asking alot of questions because I've never worked on a car before. i mean i took an auto shop class in high school but all we did was oil changes. my ultimate goal is 230-250whp but i want to take baby steps to get there (it's my first car)
any advice you guys have is welcome, and im open to hazing. played football my whole life I'd feel wrong if you guys didn't tear into me

I'm really also hoping that I'm not the only one who likes to listen to 80s power ballads with the top down in the city just to count how many people look. A lot of the time I've had a friend in the car with me so it looks like
Check out these vintage VW factory training videos. Really helped me understand ignition and valve timing.

Also if you ever plan to turbo, you're going to want to read this too.
