Default new guy in virginia beach

I figure I should go ahead and join this forum and introduce myself. Hi guys, my name is Shad. Like the title says I'm live in virginia beach. A little about me. I'm a master tech and state inspector for a shop called Japanese auto masters. We work on all makes and models but specialize in the jap makes. I'm also a heavy equipment mechanic for the Marine Corps reserves.

My backround is pretty good. I started out years ago with dsm's. Moved on to modifying different cars from a 73 gran torino gt to hondas. I got hooked on first gen rx7's after that. I have owned 8 of them in different forms. I tried the v8 swap, turbo rotary, but in my opinion the funnest one was the last one I owned that had a periphal port 12a with side draft dellorto's. Now I'm on miatas. I have had 4 miata's so far. A 91 with a 1.6 diy turbo, a 97 daily driver were the first 2 but both are gone now. The new project is a 92 with the engine, diff, harness and computer swapped from a 95 m edition. I have a lot of things to install on that one when ever I get the time. I get bored easliy with a setup so I'm constantly doing something else to it. well that's about it.

Welcome. My brother and I are going to Parris Island this winter (early Feb. for me), looking foreword to it for the most part.
Also, you might want to add your location in your "details" and some info about your car in your signature.

February isn't that bad of a time to be there. I graduated there in february. It wasn't too hot or too cold. The swamp land sucks though. When you go just keep in mind that everything is designed to screw with your mind. Just don't take anything the DI's do or say personally or to seriously. If you learn that it will make time a a lot easier and fun. And thank you I will update my info here in a few.

Thanks. I'm just glad I've got time to prepare and I won't be there in the blazing heat like the poolies that just left my RSS

I don't think I will be making it to blacksburg anytime soon. I will hit you up cookiesoup, if I ever do. And Gearhead If you have any questions about boot camp or the corps in general then just ask.
