Hey All,
First post. '96M 135K used as my daily since I found it in 2007 with just under 40K. I have an FAA A & P so I can do most wrenching on my own. Just completed the Loctite 660 fix (minor keyway damage) the day before I had to jump on a plane for another continent. As it will be a good 12 months before I can drive/see it again I have plenty of time to research turbo info. Looking for 180-200 whp and under $5K. Any advise (besides here and Google) on where to learn more on reading/learning ecu tunes? What should I "no ****" stay away from?
Any advise or comments (SA ones too) welcome.
Thanks,
Tom

Since you have so much time to research, just spend a ton of time on here reading build threads.
There are tons of creative people here with excellent builds.
Without more specifics about your goals, it's hard to recommend a tailor-made list of parts; however, the basics will be as follows:
1. Megasquirt (MS3X)
2. Clutch (pick your flavor)
3. Injectors (gt500s should be adequate for your goals)
4. Complete turbo kit. (Manifold, turbo, down pipe)
This is where things come down to intended use and budget.
I say complete kit because you don't want to piece things together unless you have experience and good fabrication skills.
For the street, your best bet is likely a MKTurbo kit.
Spend your 12 months planning and saving, and you will be in good shape when it comes time to break out the wrenches.
