Greetings! Long time luker here, finally decided to make an account. Love the forums, lots of great information here. I've started attempting a build with a '95 craigslist special. It's been pretty fun so far. Hopefully I can make it into something worth while.

The local forum is tampabaymiatas.net. They do have weekly meets in Clearwater and Tampa. Most of the people from Tampa on this board do not regularly attend those meetings though. They are all really good guys but most are not into hardcore modifying. The few that like forced induction tend to find there way here. Miata2Fast, myself, and Sixshooter do tend to meet up a good bit on our own to wrench on the cars. Sixshooter does a lot of HPDE's and I just started up myself. One day we will get Miata2fast to come out with us when his car is finally back together.

Welcome to the forum. Do you want to do some track days in the fall? I can help you get prepared.
The local forum is primarily filled with aesthetics-motivated types. I didn't buy a Miata because it was attractive or my "hairdresser's car" would fill the world with envy, so I don't relate to them well. People don't typically see a dude driving a Miata and said "Damn, I wish I was that guy." It's not a Ferrari.
