Northern Irish 33 year old Mechanical Engineer with a love of building and working on cars. Own a mk2f VW Polo g40 with a forged block, K03 hybrid turbo running 220bhp in a car that weighs 830kg. Its quite fun. Needed another project, so I bought a 1990 1.6 mk1 MX-5 last year for £500 and spent a total of £2650 to leave it absolutely mint. Cut out old rust, welded in new panels, did some bodywork and a full respray. Now its time for some power since the 115bhp just isn't enough. I have a 1.8 just about ready to drop in with a GT2860RS. Looking for around 250bhp this year, but plan on rebuilding at the end of the year with oversized pistons looking for 3-350bhp if its not too un-drivable at 250bhp.
