Thumbs up New member Non-Miata but BP and soon BPT cars

Hey Everyone, New member post...

Name is Kyle, I rally race based out of Missouri. I have a ford aspire Rally car with some miata parts including a BP motor, BP4W head. My wife actually has a miata, its a 99 NB that's been swapped to a 1.6L (odd but hey its our best running vehicle lol).

anyways here's some pictures.

Hell yeah, that's awesome!

The 1.6 swapped NB might ruffle some feathers around here, but who cares. Welcome to the forum.

Yo! Love the Aspire build with the BP, I bet that things a ******' hoot. I have a buddy that's into miata's and festiva's and is working on a b6t swapped festi, he also has an aspire parts car and it's almost a shame to tear it apart for the various bits he wants to steal off of it.

I'm running ITBs from a Yamaha YFZ R1 with a custom adapter. It does really well but I don't recommend any speed through water... we're going to move to a plenum and snorkel setup soon i think.

I've helped with some B6T swapped cars before, but I'm mostly a BP kinda guy. My brother and I used to run a festiva that was BP swapped back 7 years ago or so. Just kind of kept to the same platform.

Well after doing a bunch of diagnostics, trying to figure out some intermittent issues, I was able to get this thing tuned up for its first drive today to work... needs A LOT of cleanup. Mike Drexler of Sakura Garage was able to help tune me up and diag the issues, so i want to extend props to him as well.

Not sure you'd make it as far east as the STPR this year, but if you do, I'm likely to be there. Good to know there are some rally folks around. Nothing like talking to people that "drive with great courage."
