Just updated my profile, I'm in MD.


Got SUPER lucky on CL and scored a VVT engine from a wrecked 01' last night. Motor spun freely, pulled the valve cover and checked under a few random cam caps and there was no evidence of galling (indicative of massive bearing failure).

Got home and ran the VIN off the oil pan. All dealer maintenance records, last oil change reported @ 71K miles on 3/12 and then:

11/13/2012 Pennsylvania Damage Report
Accident reported Involving left front impact with another motor vehicle. Disabling damage reported. Vehicle towed.

12/13/2013 Maryland Damage Report
Vehicle at automotive recycler facility. CARFAX recommends checking for damage during your pre-purchase inspection.

I paid $400 off the back of pickup truck. Can't complain so far =)
