new miata owner from canada eh
figured id start here, recently purchased a 94 miata with a 2001 vvt motor swap in it, got a great deal on it, came with an hydra ems and laptop with all tuning software and bunch of other small goodies, plan is to have it as a auto cross car and occasional track day car, eventually turbo it as well, but i'm going to dial in the suspension and braking first and get used to the car and its traits
thanks! yeah my motto when building cars has always been brakes and suspension first, no point if you cant stop or go around a corner if you have a decent amount of power, im thinking about the Xida clubsports, the car came with mazda speed bushings and racing beat front and rear swaybars, and run hawk hp+front and hps rear, unless anyone has suggestions on what pads to run
The HP+ should go on the rear too for proper balance, if that pad is what you choose to run. They dust a lot but are designed as a dual duty pad, so they will do fine for street and a little track work. When you go turbo, the pads will become inadequate for track duty and you will want to step up at that point.
The Xidas from 949 Racing are the best you can get.
