Default New NA owner, from Northern IL.

Hi everyone, Just picked up a red 90 Miata 5-speed. Not a bad car needed a timing belt and some tlc. It has a rip in the top and the drivers floor is gone. Only had the car a week just finished doing the timing belt and cleaning it out. Going to plate it on pay day and start driving it a bit when the weather permits. After the B6 let's go I plan to do a bp swap with one of my extra BP's from one of my old Escort GT's. Probably do a rebuild on the engine before I put it in. Then after break in I plan to start slowly collect parts for a turbo setup. I have had a slew of Mazda's and Mazda powered Fords so I am not a total noob when it comes to b-series engines. I had pretty much a gtx setup on my Escort for a while. So I have had some experience with a boosted car. Well I think I have explained enough here are a couple pics.

Welcome to the forum. What do you mean the drivers floor is gone? Is it totally rusted out?

After My dad got to it with a piece of sheet metal! I have a set of Miata Frog Rails. They are basically frame rails that go over the existing ones.

I need to clean and undercoat the rest of the floor and find a new carpet.

Cloth tape doesn't look half bad. Works for me until I figure out if I want a hardtop or not. This is now my daily so as long as it doesn't leak I don't mind. I am probably going to plate it tomorrow!
