Has it not been started in a while? Is it a knocking or a clicking?

Injectors will click. Hydraulic lifters will tick. Rods will knock, then you've got some trouble.

Thumbs up IT runs awesome

It's just the sound i don't trust. Starts right up. I bought the car from a higher altitude so i thought maybe i'd have to reset the computer?

Or a spark plug might be bad? Fuel injectors? Maybe even a clogged hose? Who knows i just don't have time to be messing with it. I just thought i'd ask hence a miata community would know of a good place here in east los angeles.

Thanks!

This site primarily caters to do-it-yourself types. Not many people here take their Miatas to shops to get them worked on. You might try Miata.net for that.

Now if you want to pull the engine and strip it down to see what is making that noise yourself (while you rebuild it for boost of course) that we can help you with.

Change the oil

Start the car and let it run for 5 seconds

Turn the car off for 5 seconds

Start the car again and let it run for 5 seconds again

Turn the car off again for 5 seconds

Start the car a third time, is the noise gone?

Took it to a shop today and i'm guessing it could be the lifters(i have to put thicker oil to see if that helps the problem). After that i will replace the spark plugs.

Thank you guys !!
