Default New from Seattle, WA!

Picked up a bone stock 1997 M-Edition with 93k a little over a month ago and have been lurking around this forum learning as much about these cars as possible.

Plans are to get the suspension/handling sorted out in the near term. I’ve purchased:

-FM front & rear swaybars and endlinks
-Yonaka Coilovers
-Advanti Storm S1 15x8
-Conti Extreme contact sport 205/50/15
-eBay GV style lip (because street cred)

Long term plans are to keep this as a weekend warrior seeing the occasional track day. I also plan to turbo it and am looking into the BEGI and FM kits. Torn between the two so if anyone has any opinions on which one will get me to 250whp “easier” please let me know.

Anyways, looking forward to getting to know you all and I can’t wait to mod this car more and more.

Cheers!

-Johnny

P.S. If anyone has a hard dog roll bar or hardtop, give me a shout!

Welcome , strike Begi and add Trackspeed . Check out the useful saved posts especially the stickies near to top . It'll save you asking questions that have been already asked 100+ times and the discomfort associated with doing that. Fredb

Thanks fredb! I’ll be sure to check it out. I wasn’t 100% sold on begi as it sounds like even though it’s a complete kit, some folks were having issues getting things to bolt up properly requiring some custom fab work. This will be my first time turbo’ing an NA car so trying to find something simple and straight forward is a top priority.

For what it's worth , my car is pretty much a rolling advertisement for FM. That being said , it I was building it now the turbo system would be a Trackspeed . Fredb

The trackspeed kit looks much nicer. I’ve heard good things about the EFR turbo’s too. Thanks for sharing
