Yeah well, the people that make it probably work for 2 dollars a day or something and really could care less.

You should do a search on this topic: this used to be a hot topic for a long time and tons of info.

This is why when someone asks: " what manifold should I get " around here, there is a very strict list of people/companies that are proven make them correctly and we stick to what works.

it's not the laggy turbo, it's the belt driven turbo boost threshold.

I'm confident that's sarcasm, though I don't quite get it. Not worried about a laggy turbo. Bought the car for the track, not as a daily.
