Default Newb here from Dallas!

Hi every one I'm JV.
I've always wanted a Miata and finally purchased one. 2005 Mazdaspeed #1024. Made a switch from a 2014 Mustang making around 450whp.
Definitely looking forward to learn, meet people in the DFW area and have some fun building my baby. I know I have a lot to learn.
Mods
FM Full intake with boost controller at 11psi
Aluminum radiator
FMIC

Goals:
To be at around 300whp
how am I getting there? Plenty of research and lots of hours at work to afford it.

Pleasure to meet you all!

You should obtain one, searching around for a new mtx-l on amazon saved me some money

You should definitely check on your AFR running at 11psi & stock ecu.

stock psi with stock ecu sounds cool 8?

I wouldn't worry too much, just something to note if you're really pushing the IHI

Previous owner told me he's been running it that way since he got it and no issues. Again, I'm here to learn and I'll take any info to be safe.
Thanks man!

Your #1 mods imo for your current setup should be wideband & megasquirt ecu

Learn to tune & you'll really wake up the car

Welcome to mt.
I got a chance to meet JV last night. Really nice guy.

I have a buddy with a 2.5 fm exhaust from his 04 msm (He went 3071 and full fm kit and has the old msm stuff laying around). would that be to much without an aftermarket ecu?
I know for 300 he will eventually need 3 inch exhaust plus piston, rods, ecu etc etc etc.

Anyway welcome

The deadspot in the middle of the powerband will go away when you get a MegaSquirt.

Welcome to the forum.
