I am not new to miatas. My first was a silver 99 that I eventually put a JRSC on. I currently have a red 96 that is setup for CSP autox. lots of stuff ($) on it, 01 motor, IRTB's, etc.

I just picked up another miata. It is a 97 and I got it for $1000. got a good deal on it because the seller thought the clutch was bad. I bought it and put a $33 slave cylinder on and have been driving it to work.

So I would like to do a DYI turbo setup and bring it out to the GRM $2009 challenge next year. So I have $976 left in the budget, I need a decent suspension, tires, and turbo setup. So what is the recipe? Any tips, advice, etc appreciated.

 

the recipe is selling **** so you have 2009 dollars left in the budget.

 

you can only recoup half of the purchase price. so I can recoup up to $500.

So I would have $1476. recipe for that?

pretty sure that is me. I havn't seen any other red lowered miatas around. I pulled the roll bar though. Did it to save 50lbs for AutoX. I have done only 2 track days since I had the car and I do about 2 autocrosses a month. so I pulled it. It is probably gonna wind up in the monty. (the 97 is montego blue)

we need to get together. I still want a ride in the direct port beast before you take it off.

Nitrous is sold already. But good news is I'm turboing this thing in December. Can't wait. Got almost everything I need. Just gotta do it. I'm up here at MSU right now for college, but we get about a month off for christmas break. Will be turboing it around mid december. Some bald guy drives a white 99' sport lowered with a roll bar. Not many modded miatas on the coast.

Cool, I could probably use a hand. I want a ride in your red car too. I bet that's fun as hell with all the suspension mods. One day I'm gonna start on suspension.
