Nice to meet you.
Hello everyone,
I'm Christophe K. just call me chris...I just got myself a 2000 MX-5 SE after my unfortunate accident in my 95 turbo SC2. Poor car really didn't want it to go out the way it did...18wheeler need say more? Still young in college 3rd year. plan to boost my mx-5 this summer. get it up around 200hp looking to do it the right way and not the cheap way. I'm in the MA area
Nice to meet you!

In case you weren't aware, an 00 is already starting out at 9.5:1 compression so be wary of detonation.
That said, 8 psi will get you right around 200 WHP on that motor.
If you weren't already so familiar with MS, I'd suggest Adaptronic. That said, there are a couple of threads here about MS in a 99-00. There are some things that you have to do differently as opposed to the 90-97's because the ECU controls alternator, etc.

I missed the year model thing, I apologize.
I would at least look into the adaptronic.
Either way, get an ECU in there and learn how to use it before you change any hardware. When you are able to turn the boost up as high as you dare and drive away boosting happily 30min after securing the last bolt you will thank me.

Yeah, assuming the tips are after aftermarket ECU is installed.
If you're already familiar with MS the learning curve won't be as steep.
Datalogging is easy.
I'm not up to date on the ease of install or advantages of either ECU on the '00, but I believe MS was a DIY ordeal last time I checked.

What I'm thinking of doing for starters, get MS 1 V2.2 or V3 (need to do more reading) upgrade my injectors to 460cc. datalog till summer, than start N/A tuning and at the same time start looking into turbo options. oh and when i said 200Hp i meant 200 at the crank so...what 180 or so at wheels?

I guess we had different definitions of datalog lol, for me it's make sure the car is running right.
"Adaptronic is $1000 vs $350-600 for MS" I saw adaptronic for around 1,500. I thinks thats a bit much for me. I'll stick with MS. I'm more use to it that and i can get a 2.2 MS from my friends shop for $140
