Default Noob here!!

Hey all, names Justin. I'm 21 bought a 1990 miata from the original owner. He ordered it in 1989 and picked it up as soon as it got here. It currently had 217,000 miles on it. Body is in good condition interior is nearly immaculate. Needs suspension and a break job. Will do those both shortly.

She's pretty:

amazing condition for the mileage! what are your plans? if it's the original engine and it was me, I'd do a 1.8 swap and start from there, or at least a rebuilt 1.6. Parts are so cheap for these cars that you can pretty much redo your engine for less than the price of most aftermarket exhausts.

I am torn beetween the 1.8 and just order a new 1.6. Thoughts? The body isn't PERFECT the flaws are not in that picture. There is a small crack in front bumper on the right side. One on the back as well on the left. I want to take care of those issues as well. As far as the interior goes like I stated nearly immaculate. Except the accessory door on the center. I think that the guy I bought it from was pushin his elbow into it to get out. So it's cracked hella. But, I already have a new one just have to put it in. Of course there are minor paint chips on the door trim and such like that but there are not many and I'm not to worried about them at the moment. Care to take a guess on what I payed for it?
