Whats going on guys ... just picked up my first Miata the other day a '91. Guy had something come up real late at night, needed some cash so unloaded this car for very cheap.


Being our race car is a miata and one of my good friends is Mike (Icantdo55) I jumped on the deal.


Heres what it looked like a few days ago.






Dropped the car off with a friend yesterday at 2:30, and he brought it back to me at noon today looking like this.



... he took care of the real bad spot pictured above as well.


Its gonna be my daily beater/autox/track car .... after road course racing with LeMons .... im hooked! My first HPDE1 will be at Summit Point during a NASA event.

Happens all the time, even more now that I have a miata as much hell as I give people, what kind of douchebag would I be if I couldnt take a little poke back ...

I actually broke my neck back in 2000, the nickname just stuck (to many Mikes in the 757 area)

 

I've always though the only mustang I could ever own would be that body style, looks.. nice.

The miata definitely looks great, your buddy seems to have done a good job.

When is that summit point HPDE? I'm thinking about doing one soon. I went for a touring lap this fall and really regreted not doing the class.
