Default Not even a newb yet....

Hey dudes! Newb checking in from CT. I dont own a miata yet. Currently I have a 97 Audi a4 (daily), and a 89 Plymouth Colt GT 4G63 swapped (race car), Ive been building and playing with turbo cars for about 10years now. Im looking to sell the colt and get a miata to start building in the near future. Here's a couple pics of my baby....best 1/4 time is 12.1@120mph. My main reason for wanting to get rid of the colt is due to the tire spin. Thanks for reading!

I know whats causing your wheel spin issues. The engine is driving the wrong wheels. ;-)

Welcome.

Welcome. You will find that this site has a lot of knowledgeable people, but also a low tolerance for posts that could easily be answered with a search, as your closed thread may already indicate.

Welcome.
If you could drive it backwards it would probably launch really hard!

Welcome.

Hmmmm.... My car spins all over the place. I thought all the weight of the motor on the front wheels would help it launch better?

The problem is weight transfer. Weight transfers to the rear wheels and is reduced on the front wheels during acceleration. Unless you are going backwards...

That's why dragsters are rwd. And the harder the acceleration, the greater the percentage of transfer.

I love the colts.. I've had 2 now, but never quite got them finished. Always on the look for another.. Is it a true GT, or a 1.5 car swapped over?

Talk to me when you can down shift to third at 75mph and do a rolling burn out until 100. Thats when you have traction issues...lol

It's a true GT, i bought it bone stock from an old lady on long island, mine is for sale currently!

Looking for around 5k with the current set up capable of near 500hp, but would also look into some kind a trade for a Miata!
