I've got a 94 R-package Miata (which isn't turbo'd yet) and a 95 Escort GT (which is).

Yes, the rockers are ugly. No, I'm not concerned- I used to work at a body shop and it will be taken care of before winter.

The fanblades are from a 91 EGT, and they're flat black because it hides the dust from the Hawks better

No, the Miata's not boosted... yet. It has to wait its turn (the Escort is apart again, and I need something to drive to work).

Never liked how the FMIC stuck out below the bumper, the new one does the same thing, so I sprayed it black. I'm planning on fabricating a lip or something to tidy things up a bit.

 

Oh, and as for a mod list-

-Roadstersport 3 catback
-FM cat
-262/262 cams
-FM cam gears
-14* timing advance
-FM front sway bar, RB rear
-Front subframe brace
-Hawk pads, Brembo blanks
-Assorted other junk (TSIs, Rennenmetal hooks, etc)

Motor and diff mounts are next.

Escort has too much to list, but it has a 323 GTR motor, Haltech E6K, kyb/h&rs, brembos/ebc/goodridge lines, and so on. This is version... 3? The car is a damn money pit.

 

I love those Escorts. Total sleepers. There was one at the WPI car show up in Mass this summer. Awesome.

That would be my friend Jon's EGTR. IIRC he won "Best Sleeper" at that show, or something like that.

We've been pondering building an all-out drag car in a station wagon body for fun, but trying to get one of these G-series transmissions to hold up to anything over 300 hp is tricky. We'd probably have to convert to the gearbox from a 3SGTE-powered MR2, or go RWD.

 

I actually voted for his car, too. The show was full of stock-ish cars, and the "usual" stuff - his was the only car there that I thought was REALLY cool.

it wasnt even matt anyway, that was my friend jeff at the cart eventsl. he parted out that escort and got a 323 gtx.... built a BP with a GT28RS to put in it.
