Default Old user, finally getting to boosting

Hey gang,

Ive been a lurker and feel its time to introduce myself and my car.
I got my 91' Miata base model, a year and a half ago. Since acquiring, I have been amazing at how amazing and fun this thing is.

It has been very impressive since the first lapping night I did at Calabogie Motorsports Park with the stock wheels (as per fellow enthusiast / racers suggestions for first time).

Since I have been going down the rabbit hole of upgrades including 4.1 LSD (glass 1.6 diff exploded), Custom double diag taco gusset roll bar, seats, harness', suspension, as well as replacing ALL the rubber components I could.
It is now sitting on lightweight Kosei wheels and sticky tires.

My final lapping night at the track last year the engine finally gave up (30 mins in to a 3 hour open track....) as I spun a bearing. Trailered it home and started pulling it apart.

I have started piecing together a turbo that I plan/hope to get done over winter.
So far I have accumulated; kraken high mount, Garret Turbo, Intercooler + piping, Flow Force injectors, WD fuel pump, AEM boost & Wideband, Vibrant muffler + resonator, catch can... probably missing stuff.
To get/do; ECU + tune, clutch + flywheel, timing + water pump, full engine refresh, ARP studs, Vbands, Coolant reroute & coil on plug.... (list seems to keep getting bigger.)

When I first got it

After a lapping night with my new fancy boi wheel

At Calabogie.

Thanks for all the info and reading so far!
I get my copy of "

It's crazy how much more aggressive the little R package lip makes the car look. Good looking car man! Have you thought about what you're going to do for pistons/rods/head work?

It's a dream. The elevation changes and blind corners are amazing... If you play AC, you can download the map and give it a try. We run it often in my friends server.

No kidding eh? This is actually a GV rep lip, but add a lot. Id love to 3d print some cooling duct work from the lip intakes for the brakes down the line.

I am still undecided about engine building. Tempted to go forged rods and stock pistons to be a little friendlier on the wallet. As for head, stronger springs maybe? Haven't done as much research for top end.
