PNW Noob
Hi all,
I've been lurking on here for a while and i figured i would finally do my intro post. I have had a few turbo vehicles before. I had a 1980 VW Scirocco with a 2.0l 16v running megasquirt 1. I loved those old vw's but got tired of constantly fixing broken **** and FWD.
I also had an 01 GSXR 1000 that was turbocharged. That thing was Awesome but it was always on the verge of costing me an arm and a leg (figuratively and literally)
Anyway I just finished building a diypnp for the miata and im waiting till i find a good deal on a 1.8 before I get the turbo hardware.

i gotta snap a few pictures of the miata. Here is a pic of the scirocco. Ill see if i can dig up some of the bike.

The miata is mostly stock although it is pretty CDMed out thanks to craigslist and ebay. Headers, cat back, aluminum radiator, and slim fans. Im running evans coolant for the hell of it. Its got a southside special radio delete kit (comes with a broken tombstone and a cut soft top) bbs rs knock offs and crapland coils

It was a nos full Kamei kit. It was great except it was made of super brittle abs plastic. One day i bumped the curb in the snow and it exploded in to dozens of little pieces. I was upset...

Are you running Evans coolant? What's been your experience with it?
Ya Im running evans coolant. We are a dealer for it at my work. So i figured why not. So far its been fine. I like that its a lifetime coolant and never needs to be serviced. The only down side is having to flush the system with their hygroscopic prep fluid if you have any water in it. that and its expensive for coolant.($45 per gallon and the flush is $35)
As far as the performance of it i cant really comment, I mean it keeps my engine from overheating but I'm in no way pushing the cooling system to its limits with my N/A 1.6 daily, But others swear by it so
its gotta be da ****. I heard Jay Leno likes it so obvously its for racecar

Yeah. We used it in our trials motorcycles and it sure seemed to help, but haven't wanted to put the $$$ into using it in a car! The trials bikes use less than half a gallon, ha!
Carry on.
