Thumbs up Post-DSM New Jersey 95' Base Model

Hey all, picked up my Base '95 a couple of months ago and love it. Have been trying to run a pinout to run the DSM ecu ever since. Know it's been done with the harness but am looking for a cleaner swap (but more work definitely).

Will be going turbo eventually but weighing my options since the Hydra also offers sequential spark control.

Love the feel of how it handles even just stock . Never had a better handling car, even AWD.

Here in Blackwood, NJ - anyone else from the area?

Cheers

So you are not going to be number 3? Probably the sanest solution, although without all the cool bragging rights, scars, sleepless nights, etc.

Hope the conversion goes smoothly, and coming from DSMs myself it's definitely nice to have a car that handles well and doesn't feel like a pig. Welcome and good luck.

I certainly am going to continue to research and try to make the ecu work - no worries there. It's been a while since I looked (always looked, never used) at DSMLink but I think it may support sequential spark. Would be cheaper than going with Hydra too.

We'll see. I'm still wondering if I can utilize power sources within the harness or definitely have to use the MPI relay.

Thanks for the welcome!

AFAIK even ECMLink V3 does not support sequential spark. Just for giggles I searched the forums and the Wiki and there's no mention of it either place. I honestly don't know what the advantage over wasted spark is, but I know it's worked for 10sec DSMs for years.
