Procrastinator since 2009
Well I guess it is about time to post an introduction. I have been lurking and short posting since 2009 without a proper intro, I have no idea how I got this far without being burned to a crisp!
Empty nester that loves tinkering with the car as much as driving it. Day job is managing/maintaining a small fleet of private jets.
Short version, grew up racing dirt bikes, started racing shifter karts, got bored with not enough track time per event, sold kart, bought BMW E30 M3, tracked it a little, decided that the car is worth more unmolested or not put in a concrete wall. Thus the Miata came to be. Bought a '94 with the intentions of Spec Miata glory, started building it to spec standards, Started tracking it with NASA HPDE, a few events a year. Decided that TT looks interesting, so I started the slippery slope. Built a DIYPNP, put a VVT head on it, header and so on. Target is TTD, locally, only a couple of competitors, but so what.
I like to try things myself, even when there are store bought solutions out there, you'd think I would have learned long ago, maybe I'm cheap, maybe I like the experience ?
This forum is "THE" main place for Miata performance information, nicely policed to keep the "inter-web pros" at bay. (how the hell did I sneak past?)
Thanks for the info past, present and future.
Graeme
