Default Thank you MT

Hi Guys,

I Have been looking through the info on the site for a few weeks, Im in the UK and I am about to start the process of supercharging my 1.6 NB.

It will be fitted with a BRP MP62 blower with a TDR intercooler and controlled with an Adaptronic e420 ECU.

FI 1.6 NBs are quite rare in the UK so its been a bit of a learning curve to learn the different things that I need to factor in. I have just solved one of my epic questions due to finding the answer on here .

Tomorrow I will be doing a trial fit of the ECU so fingers crossed .

Anyway here is my 5...

The photo was in Switzerland near Interlaken.

Stunning part of the world with EPIC mountain roads.

Welcome to the almighty MiataTurbo!

I am jealous of your "mountain roads". We have 1 road where I live and it is completely straight

A google search of Summerland Key looks a lot better than the UK for location though .

I'm so glad we never had two engine options in the miata (except for MSM) here in the US. Welcome!

Thats what gives me problems. Most of the aftermarket gear comes from Japan or America, which means the 1.6 isn't catered for when it comes to performance tuning.

The biggest obstacle I had was the wiring harness for the Adaptronic. Luckily I believe that the wiring harness is one of the things that stayed the same between 1.8 and 1.6.
We shall see tomorrow...

I believe he found the information he needed HERE, regaurdless of his future plans for his car, must his simple remark of gratitude result in this?

Mx5autoxer: edited the original post just for you.

Pen2_the_penguin: The supercharger fits in with my driving style and how I use the car. The thanks was because I found some information with regards to the ECU harness that I have spent hours trying to find.
It was only fair to thank the forum as it has helped me....

You had nothing to do with that thread though so you can ignore

I'm a little confused. I'm not sure what you edited. Are there 1.6 NB's in Europe and are CAI's also called pre chargers? I was being sincere.

As shitty as the UK is, living in the Florida Keys is way worse. I'd take **** weather, shittier food (save for mushy peas of course), tavellers and pussyhole prod John Bull-lookalikes over living in an isolated, desolate part of the United States. That area of the Florida Keys isn't exactly paradise, it's the opposite.

98% of the houses on that island have water access. Yeah, looks like a real dump.

Pre charger as in before install, Sorry.

Did a trial fit of the Adaptronic ECU today in the rain, and to my surprise it started, idled and ran first time!!!

Only issue I have is that I have got buzzing noise coming out of the induction kit.

Once I have found out what it is then its all systems go!

Sure, it's OK if you're a 65 year old, retired stockbroker who's tired of navigating the Long Island Sound in your 84' Viking Convertible and you need a place to spend five months a year. But to live there as a young person? Are you ******* whacked? You can kiss your social life goodbye.

I'd rather spend my time downing 2 litre bottles of White Lightning and ******* fit, spray-tanned tart ****** over jacking off all night because I live in the middle of the goddamn desert and have no friends.

Ohhhh. I see. I thought that yall called them pre chargers because they charge the air before entering the engine so that its cooler. LOL.

The noise is the idle valve being set up at the wrong frequency. Should be running smooth by attempt no 2.
