gearhead- That's the thing, I don't think I can assemble one. I saw Braineak's thread with the Megasquirt deal. I'm waiting on him to pm me back. Plain and simple- I want this to go smoothly and If i'm going to spend a chunk of money on megasquirt or any management, I'd like it to be an easy task. Almost plug and play type deal.

Thirdgen- PM me a price and details of the setup. Still have functioning a/c and all that mess. I'd also like the maf delete feature. and a brief education on tuning it for my NB. thanks.

I run no MAF, but I also have no A/C. My unit isn't for you. Sorry.
Deal with Brain, he will hook you up.

Ah, criticism, I can give it.

There's no exhaust on your parts list. Bigger exhaust = more spool, power, joy, no turbo constipation

There's a few SR20 T25s for sale on VAdriven - and some pop up on craigslist every week. The cost of your adapters alone would buy a used one.

I'll scope it out. And there is no exhuast on the list because i plan to run open downpipe, or at least extend it out to about half way, but still open downpipe. Thanks!

Just found it's a t25 with a t3 flange. feeling pretty gay. Garret t25 turbo .60 compressor .63 exhaust t3 flange

Welcom. When I started the game of "I want a turbo. Now what do?" I read Maximum Boost and it didnt take me long to get all the hardware picked out. However, when it came to engine management I was completely clueless to the tuning process and basically just listened to everyone on here and got a MSPNP. I bough and installed a BEGi kit and basically handed it to a local tuner with a dyno and said heres a few hundred bucks, gimme 250whp. Simple as that. Now I'm reading books on how to tune and I'll eventually be able to tune myself but theres so much to learn that I never would have had a running car if I didn't just say ok I'll do the hardware and leave the software parts to people who know what they're doing. And BTW we all know we'll eventually want more. Thats why I got the MS because you have to freedome to change everything.

EDIT: Almost forgot, where in VA are you. I could hook you up with my tuner if you're close enough. Hes pretty reasonable. He only charged me for two hourse of dyno time when I was there for almost 4.

Yeah I know a lot goes into a tune. I feel the same way but i can handle simply wiring somethin in. It's the "assembly" part I don't even want to think about. I hope Braineack can quote me for his service so I could look into that. I'd rather send the voodoo box the second it arrives. But I can't do that till I know something is coming in (megasquirt).

I'm located in chesapeake/portsmouth. There's a lot of shops out here and towards the beach area. (i'm about 35 minutes from the water.)

I'll lower the boost if the stock system can't handle the mods. But I think I might be okay at 7 psi.

Clutch.....looking for a steal on one. Or recommendations??? This is a budget diy kit, but I'm not trying to take any shortcuts, I have been messaging with with Brain and looks like i'll be MS for sure. Just contacted flyin miata and let them know I will be returning the timing wheel and voodoo box. So that all works out.

The stock clutch is good for <170 hp/trq whatever right???

I have the SR20 turbo on my car right now. I want to sell it. I you want it, PM me and we'll talk. I'd have to take it off, and this would cause downtime of my car, therefore, it would have to be worth my time $$$.

that turbo is awesome though. except i used it on the sr in an old 240 of mine, but it spools so damn fast. I already have my garrett, and a kkk x50 that does me no good. And also about to purchase the saab t25 turbo (super 60) but hey, if you ever upgrade....

ttt. Looking for clutch suggestions? I've searched. Not trying to spend any more than $200 on one.

The FM level one that thirdgen suggest is the only clutch you want or need. It will run you about $350, but is worth every penny. One thing you need to learn is that going the cheap route is not always the best way. I am a fan of spending money on a good clutch.
