Default VERY experienced DRIFTER!

Hey gaiz im 15 so i dont have a license yet. I has however been driving since I was a kid so I can drift like forever. I heard the turbo makes my tyres spin so that’s why im here!!! Then I can drift for an eternity! Please ask if you need advice on drifting or how to look k00l while doing it!!

No, lol.

Hey, guys! I’m nearing my third year of ownership of my ’95 1.8 MX-5. I’ve been lurking around gathering information for quite some time already. Great forum with lots of well documented information!

My plan is to get the most out engine going N/A first, and we’ll see where I’ll go from there. I have a '93 1.6 as well, so depending on how (un)happy I'll be with the final output of the '95, I may end up turbocharging the '93 - or possibly both.

As of now I've got a ported '99 head and cams & intake ++ from the same engine. A complete Racing Beat exhaust system has already been fitted. Some alright coilovers are in boxes, waiting to be fitted this winter. I've mostly focused on getting the look I want, both interior and exterior-wise.
Now I'll focus on the power/safety to back that up!
Megasquirt is next on the list, with a Torsen coming in on a close second.

I will soon shaddapp and crawl back into lurking mode, until I’ve actually got something useful to post.
Bear in my my English is not my mother language, and I live in a foreign (to most of you) country. However I’m capable of understanding English perfectly fine. Just a heads up that fucked up grammar and awful sentence structure will occur!

Thanks!

Sad to say but your spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure is better than a good majority of posters on forums.

I have to say, I think this may be the absolute best new-user intro thread we have ever had on MiataTurbo.

Mmm, no. I noticed a distinct lack of cats.

Welcome to the site. Post some pictures of the full car when you get a chance, it looks really clean.

That's true- we did have one guy whose newb-intro post was nothing but cats.

Ok, I think we can all agree that this is the best non-cat-centric newb intro post we have ever had.

Wow, what compliments! It has to be the greatest welcome I’ve ever received on a forum. Much appreciated!

Thanks, sadly it looks better 10 feet away than it looks up close. I'll get some pictures for you soon.

LOL. I take that as welcoming gesture!

As promised earlier, some pictures of the MX-5's:

'93 in front, '95 in the garage behind it.

The good parts go on the '95, the '93 is my daily beater.

Thank you for the welcome!

Yep, sadly it's not "correct" to put dual exhaust outlets on it, being a 4-cylinder. However, ever since I was a kid I've always wanted a sports car with dual exhaust outlets, so I just couldn't resist it when I had the chance.

It looks difficult to play basketball where you have that goal located, lol. I guess you guys probably don't play a game called "Horse". Maybe you do play it but you might call it "Norse". I apologize. That was corny as hell. But seriously, what is up with that goal location? And what kind of car is the boxy little blue one?

Lol. Yeah, the location is quite bad. It doesn't help that the driveway is packed with gravel either. It was mounted before the little "mail box-house" was put up, so it used to work alright. It probably hasn't been used for 10 years though.

We do actually play "horse", but it's called the Norwegian word for "pig".
Both the car in the garage and the blue roof you can spot, are early 80's Ford Fiestas. Fun & simple little cars. Dunno if you have them in the US?

Bad picture, but only one I could find atm.

We have the current-generation Fiesta in the US, but we did not have any of the previous-gen Fiestas here. During the 1980s, the only compact Fords in the US were the Escort and the Festiva (which was a re-badged Mazda 121.)
