What's up guys? I've been doing some research on the miata as a project car and I must say that I love this site. I know I'm new and don't know much right now but there is plenty for me to learn and some very knowledgable individuals on this forum. Ok, so I'll say what it is that I actually am thinking about doing. I want to pick up this miata from one of my dad's friends. It was $1800 when he bought it and the only thing wrong was that it had high mileage but that's not a problem. So, I am trying to get it from him for quite a bit less than that and turn it into a track car/fun driver. I don't want the comforts of AC, carpet, nice paint, none of that. I just want to learn to work on the engine hands on and have fun driving it. So far from what I've read, there are some known weak points, like the diffs in the first NAs but these cars seem pretty good, plus they're so light and rwd so I think this is gonna be my project car.
