Default Wisconsin Owner saying Thanks

Hello Everyone. I've been a member on this site for quite a while now, and have found alot of useful information to help me along the way. So as a way to show my appreciation towards this community, I figured its about time to post a few pictures of my car.

This is a picture from 2010 at a local auto-x event. At the time I was running a t25/28 with a s-afc for management. The motor put up a good fight but was showing its signs of battle damage. In the summer of 2011 I decided that the entire car needed an overhaul.

After a completely rebuilt motor with arp headstuds, cometic headgasket, king race bearings, stock internals, and seals. Currently running N/A until I get time to put the setup back on and tune my MS.

97 subaru blue. Changed the color shifting agent and went to a bigger flake.

Black epoxy sealer with a light coat of spray-in bedliner in entire interior and trunk.

Thanks

Autocross at WIR in Kaukauna? Not too many places to autox where there's walls like that. Saw two cars wreck out there a few years ago.

Nice to see you on here as well Kurt. I always forget that you did the NB front end conversion.

And yes messiah, that's at WIR. I've been hoping to get out there for the next auto-x, but I'm not sure when my car will have the MS working :/

Eh, that's not that bad. My miata has been in a state of disrepair for 18 months. I'm finally getting close to finishing the new motor.

Cool to see there are more turbo miatas around the valley now. I was the only one I knew of a few years ago if you discount stock mazdaspeeds. Of course the likelihood of me running at WIR again is very slim. It's much more comfortable to take an airplane ride back to Appleton than drive the miata.

Is Joel from FVSCC still rockin' that AE86? Dude had that thing on two wheels quite a bit up at the Shawano track. Ken still getting FTD every time with that ITB miata?

WIR is definitely a brutal track on the car. I bent my front splitter every time there. Shawano by far was the best, but because of insurance reasons fvscc cannot host lapping days there anymore. Not sure on how Ken and Joel have been doing this year as I have not gone to an event this year. Joel's ae86 was always a fun car to watch at Shawano.

Nice NAB, bro. I'm guessing the fenders are a NA/NB hybrid affair?

Whoah, that's pretty cool. Funny because I've always like the rear quarter panels of the NA and the front end of the NB, interesting to see it done. I'd like to see it without flares, any more details on this conversion?

Also, any better pics of the car post-paint? And better completed engine bay shots?

Welcome to mt.n

Hey, thanks for the compliments guys. I have about 40+ pictures of the entire na/b conversion, but I can upload some if you would like.

Nice work, and thanks for the insight on how it's done.

I wonder what a conversion like that does for autox classing? Does the update/backdate rule apply?
