How to turbo a Miata
1. buy this 1994 2005 Mazda Miata MX 5 1 8L T25 T28 Turbo Upgrade Piping Kit w Intercooler | eBay
2. Install it
3. Don't tune it just run 25psi of boost but no more than 26psi
4. Make 300hp at the wheels!!

Or you could read how other people did it, try searching build threads before you ask dumb questions that **** off the members of this forum. If you search the forum you find many threads about all kinds of turbo systems, mega squirt's, and tuning.

I don't know what kind of info your looking for, don't know your mechanical skills if any, and I don't know your budget other that it's not much.

bahahaha only thing dumb is your response, yea sure the manifold will work great on a 1.6 i got 1000 bucks to spend on the kit and i already got a 80mm cometic head gasket and arp head studs installed in the car and im only trying to push 12 to 15 pounds so if you got a good response on some preferred turbo kits for around 1000 bucks or care to explain to me how the mega squirt programming works then that will be nice. if you got anything else to say that has nothing to do with that that great for you i want my own thread on this

Here is a 'strait' up answer. Even with a good 'back round' it doesn't mean **** if you don't do your homework. We won't spoon feed you here. The bashing you will get here has nothing to do with owning civics.

Search. You are not the first, nor the last to get **** on for a post like yours. All your answers are on this site. Although I have a feeling you won't like the answers you get.

Edit: PS, you don't own **** here. Especially not this sorry excuse for a "thread".

When you go to turbo a Honda, whats the first thing you do?
Chip the ECU, and get some bigger injectors, and get it running like that, right?

Well this is no different.

Forget about the turbo setup until you have the car running on a megasquirt with some decent injectors (either new or cleaned/tested used injectors)

I can tell you its going to cost a lot more than a grand once its turbo though, and youre sure as hell not going to have it done in a week. You would be lucky to have it running on a megasquirt by then.
I suggest you slow it down and start doing research.

Oh my bad I only spent 10 seconds looking for a cheap turbo kit. Good luck with that budget you might be able to do a 1.8 swap for that money.

$1000 won't get you much more than a bunch of crap that will break. Either cracked manifolds, or a blown engine. Over time you may get lucky and piece together something decent out of the classifieds, but there is no "kit" for $1000.

Ideally this is how it works.

Step 0: Compression check to ensure car can handle boost.
Step 1: Pick up a Megasquirt. Get it running on your car stock, learn the software.
Step 2: Get injectors that match your power goals. Install those, get them running good with your MS.
Step 3: Clutch/Timing Belt/Waterpump/etc... supporting mods to handle the turbo.
Step 4: Turbo your car.
Step 5: Have happy fun time with your car.
