6 position boost control

6 position switch (5 x Rotary Switch Potentiometer 2pole 6POSITION 15pin | eBay)

A resistor network. (Chief Delphi - View Profile: ZZII 527)

This will give me a 0-5V input in 6 steps.

Set this up as a linear sensor in tunerstudio

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1447782724

Set up boost blending. Max boost in table 2, min boost in table 1.

Have 6 levels of boost control!! Wooo

Same switch can be used for launch control and traction control

Cool, but even cooler if you set the X axis to react based on Flex%, which is what I plan to do :)

aidandj 11-17-2015 02:18 PM

Orrrr, you do a dual table flex blend using Blend Curve (8). And the knob based table Blend Curve (6). Then you have 6 positions of boost that also vary based on ethanol content.*

(either way you should be using Blend Curve 8 for Flex blending, because it effects all of the tables.)

*I have not tried this. And I'm not at my car to see if the MS freaks out if I set it up like this.

Interested in outcome from both of you. :likecat:

Mine will be boring. I'm on a stock 1.6. Sav's will be epic.

18psi 11-17-2015 02:45 PM

blending both based on ethanol content sounds epic.

work out the details so I can hop on the bandwagon :giggle:

aidandj 11-17-2015 02:46 PM

Details are worked out :)

See flex fuel thread and this thread.

18psi 11-17-2015 02:47 PM

You have this completely ironed out and working perfectly?

aidandj 11-17-2015 02:48 PM

I mean in my brain it is, thats pretty much the same right? :D

18psi 11-17-2015 02:49 PM

where's the -props button

aidandj 11-17-2015 02:52 PM

Thankfully gone.

aidandj 11-17-2015 04:13 PM

I have all of the parts and none of the time :) It will happen eventually.

nitrodann 11-17-2015 04:36 PM

Ive blended boost based on E% on a Rev MS3. I was very happy with the outcome.

aidandj 11-17-2015 04:37 PM

Yes. Blending boost tables on ethanol % is awesome.

Vlad just for you I'm going to talk yank into doing this on his car. Because he is already running flex fuel and boost control.

18psi 11-17-2015 04:44 PM

sure
