I would like to scale my Ve and spark tables out to 7500rpm.

How do I do this with out loosing all my current settings?

Ive attached my MSQ since it wouldnt let me attach the tables.

If someone can do it real quick that would be great.

You could download free programs that will do interpolations for you or you could use excel.

I think Excel will only do interpolation along a straight line. You might get more accurate values using Gnumeric's interpolate() function. It won't predict values though... I think trend() will work for that.

Either way, there's no way to get it perfect without retuning.

I'd do it by hand. Really doesn't take that long. What I do is draw it out on paper. Then as you're filling in the numbers, you can fine tune it/smooth the table. Improved drivability on my 99' a lot. Worth the time for sure.

Gnumeric is an open source Excel alternative... and it has more functionality when it comes to interpolation.

I needed to do this myself... so I made a Gnumeric spreadsheet that will rescale the tables for you. You just enter in your original tables and the new min/max rpm values, and it will output a table.

The spreadsheet will either automatically suggest RPM values (even spacing from min to max), or you can just enter in your own.

Note that it will only scale horizontally. It ignores MAP values on the left of the table. They're just there for reference.

Be sure to go over everything by hand before you run the table on your car!!

yea, ill do it by hand tomarrow or somthing.. or maybe ill just set my revlimit to 7k.. idk i really need to rev 73-7400 because i dont make peak power till 6700 or so.

unless you have aftermarket valve springs, you're gonna start valve floating short after 7200rpms anyway.

I read a bunch of places that 7800 is were valve float started.. and ive been running a 7650rpm revlimit for months now with no problems.

planned on running 7400 with Megasquirt though.

FWIW I wouldn't run it over 7200 rpms. Yea you can do it. But that is what the motor is made to wind. After that you are really starting to stress the motor.
It will shorten the life.

That is what Corkey Bell said anyway............
And he knows more about turbo'ing miatas than 3 of us and a circus fandango.
