So its still problem after problem with my car. For some reason the computer won't recognize the megasquirt again. It connected before with the same cord, usb port, and computer before but now when I think i'm almost done it won't connect again. 99 with a brain built diypnp.
Did a port check but its finding no ports at all on the computer for some reason. I'm looking at http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/serial_setup.html and if I can't find a port to begin with I'm lost on where to go next

 

I just had to buy a new USB to Serial Cable. Sounds like a cable problem if your computer can't see the COM ports in Device Manager.

 

Yea I just was able to get it to connect with another port on the other side of the computer. Weird cuz I never changed ports before.

 

Might just be a bad usb port. They can be very fussy some times.
