Default Another LC-1 Related question; Settings:

In Scott's Writeup he suggests setting Megatune CONFIG to " LC-1 Linear 0-5v 10:20 AFR"

My question: Is there any advantage of using that setting vs. the LC1 Default?

Not really sure why I'm curious, have been using the LC1 Defaults this whole time and it seems to be working.. Just bored and tinkering again.

It's just a more common scaling. The AEM and NGK UEGO sensors come set to this range, and there are probably others as well.

There's not much of a technical justification for it.

I thought it had something to do with being more accurate within a narrower range as well.

Just as you say guys, 0-5v:10-20 will give better resolutions than 0-5v:7.35-22.39. I also remember that Matt at DIY was saying they had so many users claiming that the 10-20 setting gives more accurate results than the default so 10-20 is their standard recommendation.

Some validation testing of the LC1 in both modes with a lab-grade O2 setup such as Horiba or ETAS LA4 would have been SO helpful. Unfortunately no one, not even Innovate seem to have done something like that.

It's not the LC-1's accuracy that was the issue - it seemed that there was a glitch with how the LC-1 default was set up in MegaTune so it didn't quite match the output curve.

Plus, the 10-20 range is a bit more useful for normal operation and gives some more resolution.

Has the problem been resolved now? Reason I ask is, I'm running it in default mode (not even hooked up LMprogrammer) and have been running the car for a couple months like that.
