Yea that doesn't tell me anything. If you are running an ecu that you have to wire to some sort of header, then you dont need to repin anything. If it is a sealed box with a miata harness connector then you need to repin or get all hacky with a pigtail.

 

Again, in his case with just a software mod you are good to go. no need for any hw change.
