Default scary smoke

hmmm i installed the MS according to option #1 (having the ECU control fan, ac, etc etc.)

and i had the MS controlling timing/fuel

this was built by kingofl337, i'm sure you all know him

anywho, i plugged it in, put it on the ECU switch(since it had the choice between ECU and megasquirt) and the car started to idle badly, and shoot out white smoke!....

i immediately took it back off, plugged back in my old ECU and it runs fine again (thank god)

anyone know what hte problem might be?

by the way... it has the IAT wire hanging and the fuel pump wire hanging.... i believe i don't have IAT, but AIT... and as for hte fuel pump wire, where do i hook that up to?

you need to share the AIT signal with the stock ecu then.

the fuel pump wire needs to hook to the light green wire off the fuel pump relay under the dash, its to your left on a yellow plug.

you were most likely running horribly lean.

15 at idle is no big deal... that's about where mine idles on the stock ecu/injectors. now.... 15 under boost.... that would be bad.

you may want to update the firmware to the newest version as well, just make sure the switch is on oem for spark so it doesn't harm the coils durring flashing.

The two outer lights light up when you turn on the key with the DIYautotune mods. The middle led might light up with warmup enrichment, though im not sure.
If it won't power on you might have corrupted firmware. Try reflashing using the boot jumper.

I don't believe kingofl337 built them with diy's mods, the transistors are removed preventing the LEDs from lighting.

Take a few pics of your board, front and back and we'll have it running for you.
